Job Description
The Wireline Construction Project Manager will drive Market Production & Operations of Wireline Outside Plant Construction. The Construction Project Manager Directly Manages & Supervises the Outside Plant Construction Supervisors. The Project Manager is also responsible for crew scheduling and market productivity. This includes Buried Fiber Utilities, Poles and Anchors, Aerial Utilities, Equipment, etc. This position requires attention to detail, multitasking, and strong ability to create relationships.
Daily Responsibilities
- Direct Supervision and Management of the Outside Plant Construction Supervisors
- Daily Production Management of the Market Outside Plant Construction
- Scheduling of Construction Crew Workload
- Direct Customer engagement for Planning, Coordinating, Executing, Statusing, etc.
- Ensure build schedule alignment with customer priorities
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (Build production / Overage Job Management / Market Productivity / etc.) and Ensure that Jobs Progress consistent with the Project Plan and Deadlines are Met
- Ensure Key issues of Cost, Time, Quality, and Customer Satisfaction are addressed
- Read & Interpret construction prints
- Ensure company databases are kept current and accurate with daily progress, photos, etc.
- Drive Jurisdictional Permit Execution
- Timely and accurate response to Customer Technical Problems and for adherence to contractual obligations
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations and policies
- Address Customer Escalations / Roadblock Mitigation
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Direct Supervisory Management of Wireline Outside Plant Construction experience
- 5+ years of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) & Fiber to the Business (FTTB) Wireline Outside Plant Construction experience
- Proven Experience in meeting deadlines and delivering on objectives in Wireline Outside Plant Construction
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other systems as needed specifically Excel (V-Look-up, Pivot Tables, etc.), and Word
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, etc. in the accomplishment of goals and objectives
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Construction Prints Site Layout
- Proven Attention to Detail
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
